The following works were made in 2021, in collaboration with Kate Huser Santucci, encaustic artist and fellow Daytonian. Encaustic is a method of painting using mixture of molten beeswax, resin, and pigment. In these pieces Elisha provided the sculptural structure of the work and Kate applied the encaustic. Kate Huser Santucci’s Art

In August 2022 Elisha met the respected and prolific Mike Elsass. Mike paints almost exclusively on large sheets of weathered steel. The following pieces of art were a bit of a departure for both artists - Mike painting on wooden panel, and Elisha working in nails and string exclusively. Each piece shown here is 8” x 8” x 1.5”, framed, and consists of wood, acrylic and latex paints, pigments, brass pins, and gold thread. If you are interested in seeing more of Mike’s work please visit his website.
